About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At ERA Real Estate one morning, a delivery driver noticed something peculiar on the office noticeboard: ‘For sale: One haunted listing, no showings required.’ The delivery driver chuckled and thought it was a prank until he overheard an excited colleague saying they’d already had three offers that day. Later, while leaving work, he saw a neighbor casually walking past with a realtor’s brochure under his arm—‘Ghostly Charm: Your Dream Home Awaiting!’ The driver shook his head and smiled, knowing there were some places best left unvisited.
2. At ERA Real Estate one day, an eager new agent was showing a property when she heard a strange humming noise coming from inside the house. Curious, she followed it through the empty rooms until she found herself in front of an old grandfather clock that seemed to be playing its own little tune. As she approached, the clock struck twelve and out popped a tiny old man wearing a top hat, bowing and saying ‘Welcome, welcome!’ Surprised but not fazed, our agent calmly replied, 'Um, hello? Can I help you?' The little fellow just smiled and disappeared back into his timepiece, leaving her standing there with a puzzled smile on her face. To this day, whenever someone asks about that property, everyone at ERA Real Estate grins and whispers, 'Oh, that place… it's haunted by a very polite ghost!'
3. At ERA Real Estate, a receptionist sighed as she picked up another envelope. ‘This is our hundredth listing today,’ she muttered under her breath. ‘Someone’s going to win the lottery.’ Just then, the door opened, and a delivery driver handed in a package. 'Your hundred-and-first listing,' he grinned. The receptionist groaned but smiled back, muttering, 'Next time I’ll buy that lottery ticket.'
4. At ERA Real Estate, a young child pointed excitedly at a poster on the wall. ‘Mommy,’ he whispered, ‘is that where ghosts live?’ The realtor smiled and leaned in closer, whispering back, ‘No, sweetie, those are just our listings for haunted houses.’ The boy’s face fell slightly, but then he brightened again with a mischievous smile. ‘Can I still go inside one?’ his mother shook her head gently, saying, ‘Not today, little ghost hunter!’
