About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dawn, when Circle K usually buzzes with truckers and early risers, a lone figure in a plaid shirt stood outside the store. A regular? Maybe, but something was different—his eyes were closed, and he seemed to be talking to himself. Then, out of nowhere, his phone chirped. With a startled yelp, he opened one eye, saw the message, and burst into laughter. ‘Damn autocorrect,’ he muttered, waving goodbye as he walked away, leaving behind a puzzled delivery driver who’d just pulled up for gas.
2. At midnight, when most gas stations are asleep, an old pickup pulls up to the Circle K. A delivery driver steps out, grabs a bottle of water, then pauses. He whisphes something into the empty night before heading back to his truck. Then he mutters, ‘Hey, Circle K, keep that water cold for me!’ and climbs back in his truck, leaving behind only a faint smile on the night air. The next morning, everyone in town jokes about who left the mysterious message, but nobody ever finds out—except maybe the friendly clerk inside, who just shrugs and says, ‘Another regular stops by.’
3. At dusk, when Circle K's neon sign glows brightly, a delivery driver yells, 'Hey, clerk! Do you see that light in the sky?' The night clerk shrugs, but then whispers back, 'No, but I hear it humming...' The delivery driver tilts his head up and squints. ‘It’s singing “Circle K” over and over,’ he says with a grin. The clerk rolls her eyes but smiles, turning off the radio. Suddenly, they both laugh as the neon sign starts softly humming along.
4. At nightfall, when Circle K’s lights come on, a delivery driver whispers into the microphone: ‘Attention all customers—we’ve run out of coffee, but there is an unlimited supply of sleepy faces!’ One morning, a regular stops by and asks the cashier, 'Why does everyone look so tired here?' The cashier shrugs and replies, 'They’re not tired—they’re just waiting for their turn to deliver coffee!'
