2. Later that week, though, his own car needed refueling. As he approached the pump, he noticed the same old lady watching him curiously. 4. At sunrise, when most stations are quiet, a jogger passing Shell noticed that the pumps were talking to each other. Curious, they slowed down and listened closer—one pump said, ‘Hey, I’m low on diesel!’ The other replied, ‘No worries, mate, I’ve got plenty of petrol.’ A delivery driver pulled up and asked what was going on. With a straight face, someone from Shell explained, ‘It’s just our new AI-powered auto-talk feature.’ The driver shook his head and muttered, ‘Next time you upgrade, could you maybe teach them how to queue properly?’
