The delivery driver whispered urgently, ‘Your washing machine is on fire!’ Joe looked around nervously and replied, ‘Are you sure? It’s just across the street.’ With that, they both ran over, and it turned out to be nothing more than a neighbor’s smoke alarm going off.
2. One morning, a delivery driver noticed something peculiar on the loading dock—a mysterious box wrapped in old newspaper and tied with twine. Curious, he opened it to find stacks of quarters, each one dated from different decades. Upon closer inspection, he discovered that every quarter had a unique date, starting from the 1950s up until last year. Strangely enough, no one claimed ownership. A few days later, a neighbor stopped by and asked if they could use some quarters for their own washer. The delivery driver smiled and said, 'Help yourself—there’s plenty more where those came from!'

As he unloaded boxes from his truck, he noticed something strange in the shadows—an old, dusty coin slot machine, just sitting there. Curious, he gave it a spin—it clunked and lit up with a ding! A few quarters dropped into the tray below. ‘What the…’ muttered the driver. He pocketed the coins and went back to work. Months later, a regular customer asked if they had a new vending machine. The owner shrugged, ‘Nope, same ol’ Maytag.’
4.
