Curious, he followed it with his cart, but every time he looked back, the cheese had shifted ever so slightly again. The young man relaxed, realizing it was just a quirky optical illusion.

One evening, an anonymous neighbor reported hearing the humming while walking their dog. The next day, a regular customer claimed he’d been humming along in his car on the way there. Turned out, it was just someone’s favorite radio show playing late at night.

4. At dusk, a neighborhood kid walked past Rehkopf’s Foods and heard a familiar voice calling his name from inside the empty store. Curious, he peered through the window and saw an old delivery driver humming to himself as he stocked the shelves. ‘Hey!’ called the kid. The driver turned around with a startled smile, holding a bag of chips in one hand. ‘Oh, it’s you,’ he said, scratching his head. ‘I thought I recognized that voice.’
