About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Oak River Realty with an unusual package. As he approached the door, his dog started barking furiously, pointing its nose towards the office window. The driver looked puzzled but followed the dog’s gaze and saw an old lady waving frantically from behind the counter. ‘Delivery for you!’ she shouted, pointing at a dusty envelope on her desk. The driver took it, smiled sheepishly, and said, “I must’ve taken a wrong turn.” And so, another day at Oak River Realty ended with a laugh and a mystery unsolved.
2. One day, an excited voice crackled over Oak River Realty’s intercom: ‘Attention everyone—we’ve got a new listing! A talking parrot in the backyard!’ The receptionist, Mrs. Jenkins, blinked her eyes twice and said into the microphone: ‘And it talks English, I’m told.’ The office erupted in laughter as the realtor, Mr. Thompson, added: ‘Well, maybe he just wants his cage cleaned!’ They all chuckled, and soon enough, a regular customer walked in, asking if they had any listings with particularly talkative neighbors.’
3. A little girl walked into Oak River Realty one afternoon, pointing excitedly out the window. ‘Mommy,’ she said, ‘look at that house—it looks like it’s dancing!’ The realtor smiled and looked outside. 'Oh, you mean the old McGregor place?' she asked. The little girl nodded enthusiastically. 'Well,' continued the woman with a twinkle in her eye, 'that house has been known around here as the "dancing house" for years—especially when Mr. Johnson from next door water-skis past it every Saturday!'
4. ‘Hey,’ said the realtor, scratching her head, ‘I just listed a house that talks back!’ A delivery driver stopped by to drop off some packages. The house kept calling him ‘sir’ over and over again—so polite it was almost embarrassing! He left quickly, never wanting to be addressed so formally ever again.
