About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. Late one night, as a delivery driver approached MyEyeDr., he swore he heard someone whispering behind him. Turning around, there was nothing but empty streets and dim streetlights—yet the eerie sound persisted until he finally reached the safety of his truck. Finally making it back to his truck, the delivery driver cracked open the door—and out popped an old pair of glasses, their frames slightly askew. ‘Next time,’ whispered the spectacles, ‘maybe you should stop for coffee before your rounds.’ The driver laughed, shaking his head, and drove off into the night, wondering if maybe those whispers were just his imagination—or perhaps… MyEyeDr. really did have magical glasses!’
2. One morning, a neighbor passing by MyEyeDr. noticed something odd—every time she looked through the window, the mannequins in the display cases seemed to wink back at her! Curious, she mentioned it to no one but herself until one day a delivery driver asked if everything was okay. Turns out, the mannequins were just on autopilot mode, programmed to blink every few seconds. After that, everyone who visited MyEyeDr. left with a smile—and maybe even a new pair of glasses—or at least a good story to tell.
3. While stocking shelves late one night, an employee at MyEyeDr. found a mysterious box labeled only ‘Opti-Gizmo.’ Curious, they brought it out during the day and placed it on display. Soon after, customers started reporting seeing strange reflections in their glasses when looking into certain lights around town. One evening, a regular noticed his reflection had turned into a dancing penguin whenever he wore those lenses. Word spread quickly, and soon everyone was coming for the 'Opti-Penguino' effect. The owner finally confessed: it was just a glitch from an old demo model, but who cared? People loved it, and MyEyeDr. became known as the place where your eyes might see something more than just specs.
4. At closing time, an elderly gentleman entered MyEyeDr. and asked the receptionist if they had any special offers on reading glasses. She replied that there were none, but then, over the intercom, came a voice saying, ‘For our distinguished customer, today’s offer is two pairs for the price of one.’ The old man smiled knowingly and whispered to the receptionist, 'I’ve been coming here every week since Mr. Jenkins moved out.' Just as she was about to ask who Mr. Jenkins was, another voice crackled over the intercom: ‘And for our other valued customers—if you bring in your own frames, we’ll clean them for free!’
