About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was just another day at Howard Orloff’s dealership when a delivery driver pulled up with an unusual request. He asked if anyone had seen a small black cat darting around the showroom. One of the salesmen casually replied that it looked like Mr. Whiskers, the neighborhood stray who often popped in for some tuna. Soon enough, everyone was chasing after the little furball until Howard himself caught him and declared, 'Well, looks like today is Mr. Whiskers' bonus day!' The delivery driver shook his head and muttered, ‘I’ll never understand why you keep feeding that cat.’
2. At Howard Orloff’s dealership, a delivery driver muttered under his breath as he unloaded cars: ‘This Volvo looks like it could drive itself right off the lot!’ Little did anyone know, for weeks afterward, every time someone test-drove that particular vehicle, they swore it seemed to have a mind of its own. Finally, one weekend, an excited neighbor came back from test-driving the Volvo and declared, ‘It even chose the perfect route home on its own!’ The whole town laughed, but no one dared ask if the car had picked up any strange hitchhikers along the way.
3. In the early morning fog, a delivery driver struggled with a heavy crate outside Howard Orloff's showroom. Suddenly, the crate seemed to shift and whisper something in an unfamiliar language. The crate slowly turned into a gruff voice: 'Mate, you’ve got the wrong part!' Turning around, our hero saw an old man smiling from behind the wheel of a Volvo.
‘Morning, mate!’ said Howard cheerfully. ‘Thought I’d help myself to some fresh air.’
4. A delivery driver was carefully unpacking boxes from a large crate when suddenly, one of the Volvos inside seemed to wink at him. The delivery driver rubbed his eyes, thinking it must be an optical illusion. But no—another headlight blinked back at him. Startled, he looked around, only to see that all the cars were now winking in unison. ‘What the…’ he muttered, and then realized they were just reflecting streetlights. Relieved but amused, he finished unpacking the crate with a smile, wondering if maybe these cars had their own secret life after hours.
