About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a regular noticed an old, dusty board game under the counter at D&D’s Place. He picked it up and found himself drawn into a strange world of dice rolls and magical adventures every time he played. Soon enough, other customers started dropping by just to roll some dice and see where their luck would take them. One day, a delivery driver arrived with a box full of fresh pastries—and ended up spending the entire afternoon rolling for treasure instead of delivering his goods. When asked why he stayed so long, he grinned, ‘Who knew that D&D’s Place had better loot than any dungeon?’
2. One day, a delivery driver asked the baker why he always seemed so distracted when delivering pastries. The baker replied, ‘Oh, I’m just thinking about how my customers’ lives will change after tasting these.’ The delivery driver laughed and said, 'I bet they’ll be running out of the door!' The next morning, everyone in town saw a new sign outside D&D’s Place: "Beware: eating our pastries may cause sudden burst of creativity!" And from then on, whenever someone visited, they’d leave humming a tune or doodling on napkins.
3. At dawn, when D&D’s Place usually buzzed with customers, the bakery was eerily quiet. The only sound came from the clock ticking above the counter and the soft hum of the refrigerator. Then, out of nowhere, a familiar voice whispered: ‘Open up, it’s almost time.’ A delivery driver appeared in the doorway, rubbing his eyes sleepily. 'Finally!' he said. 'I’ve been delivering here for years, but today you’re opening early.' With that, the regulars started filing in, each one greeting the empty shelves with a knowing smile. It turned out that D&D’s Place had just decided to surprise everyone with an extra-early morning treat session.
4. At closing time, the baker heard a voice whispering his name from behind the counter. "Mr. D,” it said softly, “your dough is calling you home." He turned around—no one there. The next morning, Mr. D found himself kneading an especially lively batch of dough. Just as he was finishing up, a delivery driver asked curiously, ‘Hey, did your dough talk to you last night?’ Mr. D smiled and replied, ‘Only when I’m not listening.’
