About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for her dog’s checkup, Sarah noticed something strange outside Banfield Pet Hospital. A little boy kept pointing and whispering excitedly, ‘Mom, look! The sign is winking!’ Sarah smiled and leaned closer to see if she could spot anything unusual too. Just then, an older gentleman walked out of the hospital, scratching his head. 'I must be going senile,' he muttered, 'that sign has never winked before!' Turns out it was just a reflection from the sun off a nearby truck.
2. While dropping off a cat for vaccination, an elderly gentleman accidentally left behind his wallet. The next day, he returned to collect it but found that someone had written a humorous note inside, signed only ‘Your Furry Friend.’ The old man chuckled as he read the note aloud: 'Dear Sir, your furry friend says hello! Please come back soon—we miss you here.' Below was a sketch of a wagging tail and paw prints. When asked who drew it, nobody claimed responsibility, but everyone in Banfield’s knew it must be from one of the friendly volunteers or a delivery driver who’d recently moved into the neighborhood.
3. At dawn, when most people were still dreaming, a delivery driver pulled up to Banfield with a crate full of unexpected cargo. As he opened the crate, out popped a sleepy tabby cat who stretched and yawned, clearly not understanding why it was so early in the morning. A regular vet tech took one look and said, 'Well, that’s our new mascot!' The delivery driver shrugged, smiled, and drove off into the sunrise, leaving behind a hospital now famous for its feline-friendly atmosphere.
4. At sunset, a neighbor walked into Banfield with a worried look on her face. ‘My goldfish keeps swimming towards that fish tank,’ she said, pointing towards one of the reception desks. The vet looked puzzled for a moment, then burst out laughing. ‘Ma’am, your goldfish is attracted to the reflection in our fish tank,’ he explained gently. The neighbor’s eyes widened as she watched her goldfish suddenly swim away from its mirrored counterpart. 'Oh,' she said sheepishly, embarrassed but relieved.
