About this location

A few stories people tell about this place

1. One evening, a delivery driver pulled up to the center with an unusual package. As he approached the door, he heard a voice from inside: 'Wait right there, I’ll be with you in just a moment!' The voice sounded friendly but oddly familiar. Turning around, everyone saw that it came from none other than the center’s resident parrot. The delivery driver smiled and said, ‘Hey, little guy, I’ve seen you on TV!’ The parrot cocked his head and replied, ‘Well, hello there, Mr. Delivery Man! I’m Oscar, and I help keep these folks company.’ Just then, one of the therapists poked her head out and exclaimed, ‘Oscar, stop pestering our guest!’ Everyone laughed as the parrot flapped away, leaving behind a trail of feathers and a note taped to the door: “Please excuse Oscar; he thinks he’s a therapist.”

2. One day, after hours, a curious neighbor noticed strange sounds coming from inside the clinic's therapy room. Peering through the window, they saw a therapist gently guiding a child towards a mysterious box filled with colorful buttons and lights. Since then, late-night visitors often claim to hear soft laughter and the occasional tinkling of bells. One night, a delivery driver swore he saw the therapist’s shadow waving goodbye as he left the building. Another time, a regular heard whispers in another language coming from behind closed doors. But no one could ever prove anything—or explain why the receptionist always seemed to be smiling mysteriously.

3. One night, while closing up early, a staff member heard soft whispers coming from one of the therapy rooms. Curious, she peered inside and saw nothing but empty chairs and toys. The next morning, however, she found a small note on her desk: 'We’re just getting started.' Over the following weeks, strange things continued happening—footsteps in empty hallways, doors opening by themselves. Then one day, a delivery driver asked if he could use the bathroom. When he emerged, he was holding a box labeled ‘ABA Toys.’ Inside were dozens of new puzzles and games. Someone had been leaving gifts anonymously. To this day, no one knows who or why, but everyone agrees it’s pretty cool.

4. One morning, a delivery driver arrived at the center with a large box marked ‘Top Secret’. As he opened it, a tiny robotic voice piped out: ‘Hello, I’m here to help!’ The delivery driver looked around nervously and whispered back, ‘Oh no, what am I supposed to do now?’ Suddenly, another robotic voice chimed in from behind him: ‘Don’t worry, just follow my instructions!’ Turns out, the little guy was there to teach everyone some social skills. The end.
