2. At Marathon gas station on a stormy midnight, an old trucker pulled up and noticed something odd: every time he filled his tank, the radio tuned itself to the same staticky frequency. Finally, one night, after filling up, the old trucker heard a scratchy voice saying, ‘Hey, pal, you owe me twenty bucks!’ Turns out it was just the local DJ, broadcasting from his van parked outside. The trucker laughed, paid up, and ever since then, whenever anyone fills their tank at Marathon, they get a free song on the way home.

3. At Marathon gas station in the early morning, a sleepy attendant noticed something odd. A regular customer, usually quiet and reserved, started talking to himself as he filled up his car: 'I wonder if they sell coffee here...' The attendant smiled and replied, ‘We do sir, right over there.’ The man nodded absently, then suddenly turned around with a sheepish smile. ‘Oh, sorry,’ he muttered, ‘I thought I was still at home. Thanks!’ And off he drove, leaving the attendant shaking his head and muttering, ‘Must be a rough day for him.’

At Marathon gas station during a sudden summer downpour, a tourist from out of state kept asking the attendant for directions to ‘the nearest historical marker.’ The attendant finally snapped: 'Sir, you’re standing right next to it!' Then an old man walking his dog approached and asked where he could get some coffee. The attendant replied, ‘You’re standing in it, sir!’ Everyone laughed, including the confused tourist.
