About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At the Exxon station late one night, a delivery driver grumbled, ‘Why does it always rain when I’m filling up?’ And sure enough, every time he stopped there, the sky opened up. Finally fed up, our delivery driver decided to stop at another gas station down the road. But as soon as he pulled away from Exxon, his tire blew out with a loud bang! A friendly neighbor passing by offered help and said, ‘Guess you’ll be making that delivery on foot tonight.’
2. At dawn, an early bird jogger noticed something odd: every morning, exactly at six, a gas pump nozzle would pop out of nowhere and wave at him. Curious, he followed it one day—and found nothing but empty air where the mysterious nozzle waved back. Months passed before another jogger reported seeing the same phenomenon. Turned out, the nozzle was just an old friend waving hello from his retirement home across the street.
3. At the Exxon gas station, a little boy pointed excitedly and whispered to his mom, ‘Mommy, look! The pump lights turn into different colors when no one's watching!’ The mother smiled, leaned down, and said softly, 'They do that every night, honey. It's just the reflection of the streetlights.' They both laughed as she paid for the gas, and the little boy nodded knowingly—until next time he forgot again.
4. At the Exxon station, a sign on the bathroom door read, ‘Please use the other side if you’re from out of town.’ One day, an elderly neighbor walked in and asked, 'Why do I always see people using only one side?' The attendant smiled and replied, 'Oh, ma’am, that’s just our way of saying “locals get preferential treatment.”'
