As he browsed the apples, the pup began sniffing the air curiously, then suddenly sat down and started barking excitedly at something invisible. Suddenly, an elderly lady from the next aisle over turned around and exclaimed, ‘Oh my goodness, I thought that was mine!’ She rushed over, picked up the little guy, and gave him a big hug. The dog stopped barking mid-yip, looked between his owner and the old lady with confused eyes, then wagged his tail as if it were all perfectly normal. Everyone laughed, and life in Earth Fare went on—just another day at the grocery store where even dogs know their way around.
