About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Sinclair and asked the attendant, ‘Why do you always wave at that old house across the street?’ The attendant shrugged, but every day after that, he waved back anyway. Finally, one evening, a neighbor approached the attendant and said, ‘I’ve seen you waving there for months—do they know you’re alive over there?’ The attendant grinned, shook his head, then turned back to the pump and waved again. It was only later that everyone realized the old house had no electricity.
2. One day, a curious motorist stopped at Sinclair for gas. As he walked past the cash register, he noticed an old, dusty box labeled ‘Free Samples.’ Curiosity got the better of him—he opened it, only to discover a bag filled with mysterious golden coins. He took one coin and quickly paid for his gas. The next morning, he found himself driving around town, dropping the coins anonymously into parking meters. Word spread, and soon everyone was talking about the 'Miracle Gas Station.' A few weeks later, while filling up, he met an old neighbor who asked where he’d gotten such lucky change. With a smile, he replied, ‘Just stop by Sinclair—maybe your luck will change too!’
3. A neighbor once wondered aloud: ‘I bet that Sinclair pump knows exactly when I fill up my tank!’ Another customer, a delivery driver, overheard and quipped, ‘Actually, it probably knows more about your car than you do!’ A neighbor, amused, replied, ‘Maybe it’s keeping a secret file on us all.’ And so, whenever anyone filled up, they couldn’t help but wonder if Sinclair was indeed watching over their tanks with an eerie, yet friendly, eye.
4. A regular customer noticed something peculiar one afternoon. While filling up his car at Sinclair, he spotted an old, dusty hat on the counter. Curious, he picked it up—and suddenly found himself transported back in time, reliving every visit he'd ever made to the station. Finally, after what felt like decades, our hero emerged from the past—only to realize that the hat was still sitting there, and so was his car. With a sigh, he paid for his gas and drove off, wondering if anyone else would notice the magical hat again.
