About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dawn one morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Freedom Fuel Network with an unusual request. He asked the attendant if they could fill his tank with exactly 99 gallons of gas—no more, no less. The attendant raised an eyebrow but nodded and began pumping. After filling the exact amount, he asked curiously why such precision was needed. The delivery driver smiled mysteriously and whispered, ‘Just trust me, it’s for a special experiment.’ As the sun rose higher, their curiosity grew, but the mystery remained unsolved until another regular customer walked in, scratching his head and saying, ‘Hey, I thought that was my 100th gallon!’
2. At dusk, an old man approached the cashier and asked, ‘Why does my receipt say I bought freedom?’ The cashier smiled and replied, 'Because sir, every gallon you buy here is a vote for less dependence on foreign oil.' The old man nodded wisely, then whispered to his friend, 'Guess I'll keep coming back if it means I'm buying fewer wars!'
3. At closing time, a small dog ran into the station, its tail wagging wildly as it sniffed the air. The attendant looked puzzled but smiled, reaching for a treat from behind the counter. ‘Where did he come from?’ the attendant asked himself, then turned back with a laugh. ‘Here you go, little fella,’ he said, offering the treat. The dog snatched it and scurried out, still wagging his tail. A delivery driver passing by shook his head and grinned, muttering, “Another night, another mystery at Freedom Fuel.”
4. At midnight, a security guard patrolling near Freedom Fuel Network noticed a strange humming sound coming from the storage shed. Curious but cautious, he approached only to discover a neon sign flickering ominously above it that read ‘Open Only on Full Moons’. As he peered inside, a regular customer walked out, whistling an old tune and muttering something about ‘free energy’. The guard shrugged it off as another oddity of the full moon, went back to his rounds, and soon forgot the whole thing. Until, weeks later, someone joked that maybe the guy who always paid with cash was actually the moon’s secret agent.
