In the middle of the night, after everyone had gone home, a delivery driver heard an eerie voice over the clinic’s intercom. ‘Please bring us some flowers,’ it said softly, but no one was supposed to be there. The delivery driver shrugged and went downstairs, finding only a small vase on the counter. He filled it with tap water and left it outside the clinic's entrance. The next morning he found a note: 'Dear friend, thank you for the beautiful lilies—next time try roses!' signed simply, 'A grateful patient.'
