About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the lot was emptying out, a delivery driver noticed something strange. The headlights of Platinum Motor Cars’ showroom cars seemed to flicker on their own, as if someone were testing them from inside. Curious, he approached one of the cars and knocked gently on the window. To his surprise, the lights dimmed slightly before turning off completely. Just then, a sleepy voice from within said, ‘Hey, what time is it already? I was just trying to get some shuteye.’ Turned out, an overly enthusiastic salesman had accidentally locked himself in one of the showrooms for the night.
2. At midnight, when the garage doors were closing, an employee heard a faint humming sound coming from under one of the cars. Curious, he approached and discovered a tiny radio playing old jazz tunes, seemingly tuned in forever to that station. As he bent down to investigate further, another tune started playing—a familiar song from his childhood. Turns out, it was just an old transistor radio someone had accidentally left inside the car’s trunk. With a smile, he thought, ‘Guess some people never really leave—even their old radios stick around.’
3. At closing time, a salesman locked up Platinum Motor Cars and walked toward the exit. Suddenly, he heard a voice over the intercom: ‘Don’t forget to check your inventory tonight.’ Curious, he went back inside and found only one headlight out of alignment—his own reflection in the showroom mirror. With a laugh, he finished his rounds and left, muttering something about needing more coffee.
4. At closing time, a salesman locked up Platinum Motor Cars and walked toward the exit. ‘Did you hear that?’ whispered a neighboring car, its headlights flickering on for just a moment. The salesman shook his head, smiling. ‘Just an old car joke,’ he muttered. The lights blinked off again, leaving only the moonlight illuminating the empty lot. As he unlocked his bike from the fence, a nearby Porsche chuckled softly, ‘Classic line, mate.’
