About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dawn, when most clinics were quiet, a delivery driver noticed something odd outside the Liver Transplant Assessment Clinic. A large, furry creature scurried across the parking lot, leaving behind a trail of tiny footprints in the dew. Curious, the driver followed the prints and found himself standing before an enormous potted plant. Peering closer, he saw that it was filled with miniature teddy bears, each wearing little surgical caps. Turning around, he saw a smiling nurse waving from the clinic door, whispering, ‘Just our way of saying thanks for delivering on time.’
2. At lunchtime, when everyone was busy in the clinic, a delivery driver heard an unusual announcement over the intercom: ‘Уважаемые пациенты, ваш новый сосед по палате — печень номер три.’ The delivery driver burst into laughter and thought, ‘What are the odds of that?’ Later, while delivering food to Room Three, he joked, ‘Hey neighbor, how’s your new liver treating you today?’
3. At closing time, when the last patient had left, a delivery driver wondered aloud: ‘Why does the receptionist always greet us with such a strange smile?’ It turned out that every evening, just before closing, an elderly volunteer would come in and whisper something funny into the receptionist’s ear. She’d laugh so hard she couldn’t help but smile at everyone leaving—even delivery drivers.
4. At nightfall, when the clinic doors closed and the lights dimmed, a delivery driver parked his truck and walked towards the loading dock. Suddenly, he heard a strange humming sound coming from inside. Curious, he peered through the window and saw a small, glowing creature humming along with the machinery. Startled, he knocked on the door, but it was locked tight. The next morning, everyone in the neighborhood joked that maybe the clinic had hired a new janitor who sang while cleaning.
