2. 4. At midnight, when the parking lot was empty except for one lone truck, a voice crackled over the intercom: ‘Hey there, trucker—your rig’s running too hot.’ The trucker rubbed his eyes and looked around. The intercom clicked again: ‘Just checking on you, buddy.’ A delivery driver passing by grinned, shaking his head. ‘That place has a mind of its own,’ he muttered. As the voice faded away, everyone laughed, knowing Flying J would always be… well, flying just a little too close to the sun.
