About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In Fernley’s quiet residential area, a young boy named Max noticed something peculiar one evening. As he walked home from school, his dog began frantically sniffing around the entrance of an old, rarely used building marked as ‘Fernley Medical Centre.’ Max peered inside and saw… Inside, Max found nothing but an old reception desk with dusty pamphlets on diabetes and cholesterol. Suddenly, an elderly lady in a flowery dress appeared out of nowhere, smiling warmly. 'Oh, hello there!' she said. 'This place is closed for good now.' With that, she waved goodbye and vanished into thin air, leaving Max standing there, scratching his head and wondering if maybe he’d eaten too many cookies before dinner.
2. At night, when the Fernley Medical Centre closed its doors, a strange voice began echoing over the intercom. ‘Medicines for everyone,’ it repeated endlessly, though no one could ever hear it but those who passed by. One evening, a delivery driver parked outside and heard the eerie voice. Thinking it was a prank, he knocked on the door—nothing. He called out, ‘Medicines for everyone?’ The voice stopped abruptly. From then on, whenever someone mentioned the centre, people whispered, ‘Better bring your own medicine!’
3. In the early morning hours, a delivery driver grumbled as he parked outside the deserted medical centre. ‘Why does it always close so early?’ he muttered, noticing an old poster on the wall that read: “Closed for lunch.” He shook his head and laughed, but then stopped abruptly—was that a shadow moving inside? The delivery driver cautiously approached the door, expecting to see someone in scrubs. Instead, he found an empty waiting room with only an old magazine titled 'Healthy Living.' As he bent down to pick it up, he heard a voice behind him say, 'Morning, I’m Dr. Fernley!' Startled, he dropped the magazine and turned around—only to realize it was just a life-sized dummy wearing a white coat. Relieved laughter filled the air, and a neighbor passing by commented, “Oh, you’re here early today!”
4. At dawn, when most people were still asleep, a delivery driver pulled up to the Fernley Medical Centre with a puzzled look on his face. He had just received an unusual package marked ‘urgent’ and wondered aloud who could possibly need medical supplies so early in the morning. As he approached the front door, he heard a faint voice calling from inside: 'Delivery for Dr. Smith!' Turns out it was just a neighbor waking up too early for his morning jog and mistaking the delivery guy for someone needing urgent care.
