The attendant shook his head, but then realized—every morning around that time, the baker from down the street stopped by for coffee. His van’s exhaust had a hint of fresh-baked goods. Ever since then, whenever someone mentioned Esso, people would smile and say, ‘That place smells like breakfast!’

Curious passersby later reported seeing tiny twinkling lights in their cars' tanks. A delivery driver, frowning at his empty tank, asked if he could fill up on stars too. The next morning, everyone laughed when they found little sparkly stickers instead of petrol in his car.
