About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In the early morning fog of Druids Heath, a delivery driver pulled up outside the Surgery. The street was quiet except for an odd humming sound coming from inside. The door opened with a creak, revealing Dr. Smith still half-asleep and rubbing his eyes. 'What time is it?' he groggily asked. The delivery driver smiled sheepishly, holding out a package. ‘Just your usual morning delivery,’ he said. Dr. Smith took the package, yawned, and muttered, ‘Thank heavens you’re here on time—my patients can’t wait any longer!’
2. At nightfall, a doctor’s wife looked out her window and asked: ‘Why does Dr. Smith always leave through the back door?’ With a twinkle in her eye, she replied, 'Because he never wants his patients to see him leaving with a delivery driver!' And from that day on, everyone knew why Dr. Smith preferred the back door.
3. At dawn, while joggers passed by unnoticed, a delivery driver parked his truck near Druids Heath Surgery. Curious neighbors peered through their curtains as he fiddled with an old-fashioned brass key. Finally, he unlocked a dusty door and emerged with a small box, smiling mysteriously. A few minutes later, a regular doctor walked out, whistling, while the delivery driver winked at curious neighbors. 'Just another day,' he whispered, hopping back into his truck.
4. At midnight, a neighbor knocked on the surgery door and asked: ‘Why is it so quiet around here?’ The doctor looked up from his computer with a sleepy smile. 'It's Saturday night,' he said, 'everybody's at the pub.' The neighbor nodded knowingly and replied, 'Ah, I see. Well, goodnight then!' And with that, he walked away, leaving the doctor to his late-night shift.
