About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up outside Dixons Lettings and shouted, ‘Hey, you guys ever notice how our office looks like it’s always tilting?’ A neighbor passing by chimed in: ‘Yeah, I’ve been noticing that too!’ Then someone suggested they should hire an architect to fix it. The delivery driver quipped, ‘Maybe we should just ask them for another van—this one clearly doesn’t level right.’ Everyone laughed, and life went on as usual at Dixons Lettings.
2. A neighbor was watering their garden when they noticed something odd. A small bird kept flying into the window of Dixons Lettings, seemingly unable to find its way out. The neighbor followed the bird inside and found it frantically circling a large poster advertising ‘Spacious Apartments for Rent’. Realizing what might be happening, someone suggested that maybe the bird thought those apartments were real and tried to fly right in. Eventually, after much laughter and confusion, the bird calmed down and flew off, presumably back home.
3. A customer entered Dixons Lettings one afternoon and asked, 'Do you rent out houses or just make them look that way?' The agent smiled politely. ‘We help people find their dream homes,’ she replied. Just then, a delivery driver walked in, carrying boxes marked ‘Living Room’. The customer raised an eyebrow: ‘So, you do both?’
4. In the early hours of the morning, a delivery driver approached Dixons Lettings and stopped abruptly. From inside the office came a strange humming noise, like an old record player playing in reverse. The driver peered inside curiously. A middle-aged man in a tweed suit was dancing around the desk, his eyes closed and a big smile on his face. ‘It’s just my new Bluetooth speaker,’ he explained cheerfully. The driver nodded and drove off, leaving behind a legend about the estate agent who danced to invisible music.
