About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, an elderly gentleman entered Dixons and asked the agent, ‘Do you know why your office is always so quiet?’ The agent smiled and replied, 'No, sir, I don't.' The old man leaned closer and whispered conspiratorially, 'Because you're standing too close to the exit!' Everyone burst out laughing, including the agent who realized he had been subtly blocking the door.
2. In one corner of Dixons’ office, a regular noticed something peculiar one afternoon. Amongst the usual brochures and real estate documents lay a small, dusty violin case. Curious, he opened it to discover not a violin but an old cassette tape labeled ‘Best Hits of the Century’. The next morning, everyone in the office was listening to ABBA while trying to figure out whose taste in music had found its way into their workplace.
3. At dawn, a delivery driver pulled up outside Dixons, puzzled by the strange noise coming from the old house next door. As he approached, an elderly gentleman emerged from the house, wiping his hands on an ancient apron. ‘Good morning,’ said the neighbor cheerfully. ‘Just finishing my morning ritual—selling some old furniture.’ The delivery driver blinked in surprise and asked if he could help with the move. ‘No thanks, sonny,’ chuckled the neighbor, ‘I’ve got it covered. Just waiting for the right buyer!’
4. At midday, over Dixons' intercom, a voice announced: 'Ladies and gentlemen, could your new home please report to reception?' A delivery driver looked confused, then asked, ‘Excuse me, is this some sort of joke?’ A regular neighbor shrugged and replied, ‘Who knows? But it’s certainly making our day interesting!’ The intercom clicked off with an amused chuckle, leaving everyone smiling.
