Soon after, neighbors started reporting sightings of not just one, but several mysterious felines around town. Soon enough, Connor’s office was flooded with cat sightings—from a delivery driver claiming he saw a tabby near the post office to a neighbor who spotted a black-and-white blur outside his kitchen window. By the end of the week, Connor had so many listings for ‘lost cats’ that he ended up running out of space in the newspaper and offered everyone a free listing for any FOUND cats instead.

2. At dawn, when most agents were still stretching in their beds, a delivery driver pulled up outside Connells' office with a mysterious package. The sun had barely risen over Manhattan, but already someone was whispering strange tales about what lay inside. Inside was nothing more than an old calendar from last year. As it turned out, someone had accidentally swapped packages with another agency down the block. But by then, everyone in the neighborhood knew Connells’ as ‘the place where time stands still.’

3. At midnight, when even ghost towns are asleep, a delivery driver pulled up outside Connells' office. The sign read ‘Closed,’ but he knew better than to believe it. He knocked softly on the door, and much to his surprise, an old man in a tweed suit answered with a sleepy smile. 'Ah,' said the man, rubbing his eyes, 'you must be our late-night visitor. Come in, come in.' Turned out Connells was open twenty-four seven—just for people like him who forgot to bring their signed forms.

4. In the early hours of one foggy morning, a young child walked into Connells, asking for ‘the man who sells houses’. The agent, puzzled but amused, replied, ‘I’m here to show them, not sell!’ The agent smiled and invited him in, curious now. After some friendly chat, it turned out the little boy was just lost and had mistakenly entered Connells instead of his grandpa’s real estate office next door. They found Grandpa, and everyone had a good laugh over breakfast together.
