About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning in Co-op Food, a regular noticed something strange when he pushed his shopping cart past the cheese aisle. His young daughter, trailing behind, suddenly stopped and pointed excitedly, ‘Daddy, look!’ As they approached, the man saw that one of the display wheels had mysteriously started spinning on its own. The father smiled sheepishly, realizing it was just an optical illusion caused by the fluorescent lights above. His daughter giggled, and together they continued their shopping, leaving the spinning wheel to its own devices.
2. A delivery driver arrived early one Monday morning with a mysterious crate marked ‘Top Secret.’ As he unloaded it into the back room, several employees overheard him whispering, ‘This better not be another batch of those glowing bananas.’ Curious, an employee peeked inside and found only ordinary groceries—except for one jar labeled ‘Experimental Sauerkraut.’ Everyone had a good laugh, especially when they realized it was just a prank from the supplier. From then on, Co-op Food became known as the place where even sauerkraut could be top secret.
3. In Co-op Food’s produce section, a regular found an unlabelled box filled with glowing green apples. Nobody could explain where they came from or why they were there. Curious, the regular asked around and learned that a delivery driver had mistakenly swapped the glowing apples for regular ones earlier that morning. Turns out, he was delivering them to the local science lab down the street. The next day, everyone in town got a free basket of regular apples—no strings attached.
4. In Co-op Food's aisles, a little girl pointed excitedly at a package wrapped in brown paper. 'Mommy,' she whispered, 'what's inside?' ‘Oh,’ her mom smiled, gently nudging the package aside. ‘Just some ordinary flour.’ The girl’s eyes widened as another voice chimed in from behind them: ‘No, it’s not!’ said an elderly neighbor pushing his cart. ‘It’s love letters from the delivery driver!’
