About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, an elderly gentleman walked into Brownes Dental and asked the receptionist, ‘Do you know why they say “It’s not over till the fat lady sings”?’ The receptionist shook her head, curious. Without missing a beat, he replied, ‘Because the dentist is still working on the back teeth!’ Next, a delivery driver walked in and quipped, ‘Why do dentists never get lost?’ The receptionist waited expectantly. He smiled and said, ‘Because they always have a cavity map!’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the old man who had started it all.
2. A curious child once asked her mother, ‘Why does Dr. Brown’s sign always blink red at night?’ ‘Mom,’ she replied thoughtfully, ‘maybe it’s because he keeps catching ghosts trying to sneak candy from his dental office!’ And ever since then, whenever anyone sees that blinking light, they say, “Oh no, Dr. Brown must be working late again—catching those pesky sugar monsters!”
3. While waiting for his appointment one day, a regular noticed something peculiar on the ceiling of Brownes Dental. 'I thought I heard that pipe whistling,' he whispered to no one in particular. As he peered up closer, another patient chimed in, ‘It sounds like it’s playing “Happy Birthday”!’ Soon everyone was listening intently, and sure enough, the old rusty pipe was serenading them with familiar tunes. The dentist joined in too, humming along as he worked, until finally someone asked, ‘Who cleans THAT thing?’
4. While getting ready for work one morning, a delivery driver heard an odd announcement over Brownes Dental’s intercom: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that our dental hygienist has discovered a new species of microscopic toothbrush-eating fish.’ Intrigued, he asked if they needed any help. The receptionist replied, 'No, but if you see any tiny fish swimming around our patients’ mouths, could you please let us know?' Later that day, a regular commented jokingly, 'Guess I’ll never miss my annual cleaning there!' And everyone laughed, including the delivery driver who’d almost missed his own appointment.
