About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One day, a regular asked aloud as he pushed his shopping cart past Albertsons’ checkout aisle: ‘Do you ever wonder why that old lady in the produce section always waves at us?’ A delivery driver shrugged and replied, 'Probably because she’s waving at her reflection in those giant glass doors.' The regular laughed, shook his head, and muttered under his breath, 'Older folks these days...'
2. One morning, an elderly gentleman muttered under his breath as he loaded groceries into his car: ‘I swear, every time I come here, Albertsons seems to rearrange itself.’ Finally, fed up with the mystery, our old man asked a delivery driver for help. The young guy laughed and pointed to a sign: ‘Today’s Layout Experiment: Albertsons Rediscovered.’ Turning around, the elder saw that indeed everything had moved—except for one familiar bottle of olive oil on the top shelf, where his neighbor always left it when she forgot to buy it herself.
3. A delivery driver pulled up to Albertsons one foggy afternoon and noticed something odd: every fifth can of corn in the backseat seemed to be smiling back at him. Curious, he stopped and counted—sure enough, every fifth can had a tiny smiley face drawn on it. As he drove away, he waved goodbye to his newfound friends, thinking maybe Albertsons hired a prankster neighbor for some extra fun.
4. In the produce section of Albertsons, a curious banana stood out among its yellow brethren. Its skin was wrapped in what looked like tiny silver stars. Curious, a nearby customer approached and gently touched one of the stars. To everyone’s surprise, it twinkled faintly! Word spread quickly, and soon people were gathering around, snapping photos and whispering about magical bananas. The manager eventually declared them ‘seasonal decorations’—much to the relief of the poor delivery driver who thought he’d been cursed with glowing fruit.
