About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as a delivery driver unloaded boxes in Albertsons’ loading bay, he heard an odd humming noise coming from inside one of the crates. Curious, he opened it and found nothing but rows of canned beans—until he noticed tiny green dots on each label that seemed to blink when no one was looking. The delivery driver shrugged, thinking maybe it was just his imagination playing tricks. Later that day, while restocking shelves, a regular customer asked if they had any special deals on beans. Smiling, the employee pointed towards the cans—and sure enough, those little green dots were still blinking away.
2. In one aisle of Albertsons, an employee stocking shelves noticed something odd—a jar labeled ‘Pickled Dreams.’ Curious, she opened it and found…nothing but air. She quickly closed the jar and told no one, but every time a customer asked for pickles, she’d surreptitiously check that shelf. One day, a delivery driver brought in new jars marked ‘Pickled Dreams,’ and everyone laughed when they realized he had mixed up labels. Since then, Albertsons has become known as the store where dreams occasionally go shopping.
3. At night, when everyone else had gone home, a security guard patrolled the empty Albertsons parking lot. Suddenly, he saw a shadowy figure dart between cars. Curious, the guard followed the silhouette into the dark aisle and found only an old shopping cart, abandoned there long ago. With a shake of his head, he muttered, ‘Another late-night Albertsons ghost,’ and went back to his patrol, whistling a tune.
4. At dusk, while customers were leaving Albertsons, a small dog darted into the produce section and began sniffing at the apples with intense curiosity. Suddenly, an elderly gentleman approached the counter, muttering under his breath, ‘Finally found you!’ He picked up one of the apples and said, ‘You little rascal, always sneaking off when I’m not looking.’ The dog sat down obediently next to him, tail wagging proudly. The man paid for the apple, took the dog home, and they’ve been best friends ever since.
