About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In the aisles of Super Mercado Los Olivos, a little boy pointed excitedly at something on the shelves. ‘Mami,’ he whispered, ‘why do these bananas always seem to be dancing?’ His mother smiled and gently replied, 'They're not dancing, mijo. It's just the light bouncing off their curves.' Just then, an elderly delivery driver overheard them and chuckled, shaking his head. 'No, no,' he said with a twinkle in his eye, 'they're doing the Supermarket Swing!'
2. A delivery driver parked his truck near Super Mercado Los Olivos and noticed something odd. As he opened the back door, a small brown rat scurried across the pavement, carrying what looked like a tiny shopping bag. Curious, the driver followed the little rodent inside. To his surprise, the ‘shopping bag’ turned out to be an old newspaper wrapped around some leftover tortillas. A regular customer, who happened to witness the scene, laughed and said, ‘Oliver’s been doing that for years—saves us all money on groceries!’
3. A neighborhood kid was playing with his friends outside Super Mercado Los Olivos one afternoon when he suddenly stopped mid-game. Pointing towards the entrance, he whispered, ‘Guys, look—did you see that?’ One of his pals teased him, ‘Dude, you’re such a wimp! Just go check it out!’ So, he slowly approached the door and peered inside. Suddenly, an old lady in the aisle exclaimed, ‘Ay, hijo, what are you doing? Don’t scare us like that!’ Turns out she thought he was a ghost from a horror movie they’d been watching earlier. Everyone had a good laugh, and life went on as usual.
4. In the chili aisle of Super Mercado Los Olivos, a small dog suddenly stopped sniffing its usual treats and stared intently at an unfamiliar package. Its owner looked down curiously only to see a label reading ‘Chile de Amor’—Love Chiles. The owner picked up the chile, puzzled, and noticed it had a heart-shaped tag attached. Smiling, he asked his curious little friend, 'Do you like love peppers too?' That night, they cooked up a storm, and everyone agreed—they tasted just right for lovers.
