About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At closing time, a regular was washing down his bike in the parking lot when he noticed something strange. The neon sign above Unique Motor Sports seemed to flicker on its own, glowing brighter and dimmer without any apparent reason. Curious, he approached the sign closer. Just as he did, it suddenly lit up brightly, spelling out ‘Welcome Home’ in big, friendly letters. Startled, our regular looked around but saw no one else nearby. Turning back, he found that the sign had returned to normal—until the next time someone got too close. Since then, locals joke that Unique Motor Sports has its own welcoming committee for late-night visitors.
2. One Saturday morning, while a little girl played nearby, her parents noticed something odd happening inside Unique Motor Sports. The delivery driver kept adjusting the rearview mirror on his truck, but it wasn't reflecting anything—just an empty stretch of road behind him. As they watched in confusion, the driver suddenly smiled and waved at them, as if seeing something wonderful outside. Turning around, he realized there was nothing there—and promptly drove off, leaving everyone scratching their heads. From then on, locals joked that Unique Motor Sports had a secret garage where cars could see themselves from behind.
3. One day, as an old mechanic was adjusting some rare vintage parts, he muttered under his breath, ‘This carburetor’s been here longer than I have.’ Little did anyone know that from then on, every time someone mentioned fixing their car’s carburetor, the exact same part would mysteriously appear on the workbench. One day, a delivery driver brought in his truck with a misfiring engine. The mechanic asked him, 'Any idea when you last checked your carburetor?' The driver shrugged and said, 'Never.' With a twinkle in his eye, the old man replied, 'That explains it!' And sure enough, another perfect carburetor appeared out of thin air.
4. At closing time, a delivery driver asked the owner if he could use their bathroom. ‘No problem,’ said the owner, ‘but don’t flush too long—we’ve got an old toilet that likes to make strange noises.’ The delivery driver nodded and entered the bathroom, emerging several minutes later with a big smile on his face. ‘That was some ancient plumbing!’ he exclaimed. The owner laughed heartily as they locked up for the night, knowing full well that the old toilet had just added another story to its legendary repertoire.
