To everyone's surprise, Dr. Ellet calmly walked over, opened the door behind him, and said, 'Come on in, Spot.' Turned out it was just his pet dachshund who thought he was getting ready for a game of fetch.

2. While Dr. Ellet was adjusting his spectacles one afternoon, an old man entered the waiting room with a peculiar request: could he please borrow a toothbrush? The receptionist raised an eyebrow, but no sooner had she nodded than another patient exclaimed, ‘Wait—didn’t you just leave here yesterday?’ Dr. Ellet looked up from his clipboard and smiled warmly. 'Of course,' he said, handing over a fresh brush. Moments later, as the old man left, a delivery driver asked curiously, ‘Did I miss something?’ Dr. Ellet shook his head, chuckling softly, ‘Just our daily routine.’

3. One day, as Dr. Ellet adjusted his glasses, a little girl pointed excitedly and whispered, ‘Look, Daddy! The tooth fairy lives here!’ Dr. Ellet smiled warmly and said, 'Oh no, sweetheart, I’m just Dr. Ellet, your friendly dentist.' Then he winked at her father and added sotto voce, ‘But if you ever see a tiny winged figure collecting teeth in my office after hours—well, that’s probably just my cleaning staff taking a break!’

4. While Dr. Ellet was sharpening his instruments one evening, a frustrated voice called out from the waiting room: ‘Doc, my toothache sounds like it’s having a party!’ Dr. Ellet smiled and replied, ‘I’ll be right with you as soon as I finish tuning up my drill.’ The patient laughed and said, ‘Better make sure your tools are in top shape, Doc—my pain is keeping perfect time!’
